Actors' Playhouse Musical Theatre for Young Audiences will stage the musical Alexander, Who's Not Not Not Not Not Not Going to Move! every Saturday at 11 a.m. September 16 – November 5 at the Miracle Theatre in downtown Coral Gables.

In this hilarious sequel to Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst, Alexander has really bad news —his dad, has taken a job in a new city a thousand miles away. This means that he, his mom and his dad and his bossy older brothers Nick and Anthony, are going to have to move to a whole new city. Even though his mom says, "Wait, you'll like it," Alexander already knows that he'll hate it. He'll hate it because he'll never have best friends like Paul and Audrey again. And he'll never again have his soccer team or his carpool or kids who know him and so he has decided that he won't move. Now Alexander must figure out HOW he's not going to move. Will his family be able to convince him that home is "where your family is, where you're with the people who love you best of all," or will Alexander really "Not Not Not Not Not Not" move?

Earl Maulding directs a seven member adult cast in this fun musical where cultural, social and even language differences could be explored. "We all have to face change in our lives and this story gives young people an opportunity to see how someone their age, deals with moving to a new city and that it is okay to be upset and to express those feelings of frustration and confusion," said Maulding.

The Book and lyrics are by Judith Viorst with music by Shelly Markham. The creative team is comprised of musical director Eric Alsford, scenic design by Christopher Jahn, costume design by Ananda Keator, sound design by Nate Rausch and lighting design by Patrick Tennent.
