Katrina Benefit at Jupiter's Atlantic Theater

HURRICANE KATRINA BENEFIT

PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT AMERICAN RED CROSS

"GATED COMMUNITY" IMPROV COMEDY PERFORMS LIVE AT THE ATLANTIC THEATER ON FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 23RD AND SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 24TH,      BOTH SHOWS AT 8PM/>

Gated Community, a high energy improvisational comedy troupe, performs live on Friday September 23RD and Saturday September 24th at 8pm/> at The Atlantic Theater/> to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina.  Gated Community combines short form improvisation, sketch comedy, audience participation and song parody, offering a show full of wit, charm and hilarity along with a clever insight on the humors of everyday life that we can all relate to. Gated Community shows are unique in that the performers get all scene ideas and suggestions from audience members, so no scene is ever pre scripted and the actors never know which direction a scene may take. Special guests for the Saturday show will be Duocity, a two man Improv group from Miami/>/>.

Past shows have included: a hurricane town meeting, where audiences prepared for the storm with laughter, sketch comedy regarding Ritalin overdoses in schools, an overzealous school teacher and a tennis ball boy out of a job.  South Florida audiences continue to discover the humor and energy found in a live Improv show. The mix of sketch, improvisation, music and video leaves patrons excited about the endless possibilities of live theater.  Gated Community takes comedy seriously….very seriously.

Tickets for the show are $15.00 and students are $10.00.  Tickets can be purchased by calling (561) 575-3271.  For further information please visit the website     www.gcimprov.com
