Today Danish composer and multi-instrumentalist, Myrkur has revealed her new video and single, 'Leaves of Yggdrasil'. Amalie Bruuns's delicate and sweeping vocals paired with the violin, piano, lyre and nyckelharpa make for a lullaby-like song which she notes, 'is very dear to my heart.' She continues, 'I wrote Leaves of Yggdrasil about being apart from the one you love because of circumstances that are completely out of your control. The Norns weave the fates of Gods and man and sometimes that means very tough life situations. I wanted to create a song with the feeling of an old folk-tale, but with words that resonated with my own life today.'

After performing in Columbus, OH last night, King Princess unveils long-awaited fan favorite “Ohio” alongside a new video. A staple of her live sets since the very beginning of her career, the song is available to stream for the first time today.

Glasgow's trippy garage rock band Catholic Action will release their new album Celebrated by Strangers, March 27 on Palo Santo Records. Banoffee is gearing up to release her debut album Look At Us Now Dad out next week on February 21st via Cascine and has today given fans one last exciting preview. The new song “Contagious” comes with another excellent video. Banoffee says: “The video is about loneliness and the feelings of ostracisation that arise when your issues seem too much for the world to handle. It follows a woman roaming the landscape in a wedding dress, totally prepared to give herself up to something, yet completely alone and isolated by her sadness. The circles in the clip represent a safety zone, something I created for myself when I felt like I had to hide what I was going through in order to seem fit for love or friendship. I wanted the video to evoke a sense of longing and eeriness, like everyone has gone home, fed up with the things I still need and crave…”

Deau Eyes, aka Richmond, VA-based singer/songwriter Ali Thibodeau, has signed with Egghunt Records for her forthcoming debut LP, Let It Leave. Due out May 8, Let It Leave was co-produced by longtime friends Jacob Blizard and Collin Pastore, whose creative efforts show up on records by Lucy Dacus and illuminati hotties, among others. The 9-song set is full of bravado: hard-won, contagious confidence radiating from Thibodeau.

Hot on the heels of their critically acclaimed third album, Blessed is the Boogie, Australian rockers Datura4 have hit the motorway running for another sonic journey through burning boogie, dirty blues and rock & roll soundscapes on their follow-up opus West Coast Highway Cosmic. The title was inspired by the highways that the band has traveled to get to the recording studios they've been using over the four albums they've done so far. The two studios are 200 kilometres [124 miles] apart and situated along the southwest coast of Western Australia. The long and sometimes lonely drives back and forth along these routes have definitely played its part in the band's creative process, and whether it be new ideas or just listening back to what they've done in a previous session the 'West Coast Highway Cosmic,' as they like to call it, has been a constant spirit over all of Datura4's studio recordings.

Keyboard Legend Rick Wakeman & The English Rock Ensemble will be releasing “The Red Planet” on April 3, 2020. The album features 8 newly composed pieces, especially for this project, and harks back to Wakeman's critically acclaimed debut album “The Six Wives of Henry VIII” where there were 6 heavy keyboard pieces based around a central subject matter. Little Steven, aka Steven Van Zandt, is commemorating today's 30th anniversary of Nelson Mandela's historic release from a South African prison after 27 years in captivity with the announcement that his 1985 landmark protest album, Sun City, by Artists United Against Apartheid, the extraordinary supergroup brought together by Van Zandt, producer Arthur Baker and journalist Danny Schechter to fight racial injustice in South Africa, will be released on vinyl for the first time since its initial release 35 years ago. The long-out-of-print LP joins five additional classic albums from Van Zandt making all of Little Steven's records from his early career once again available on vinyl.
