Melbourne Chamber Orchestra presents Under the Canopy, an orchestral program featuring internationally renowned classical accordionist James Crabb. The program includes works by Jean-Philippe Rameau, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Tomás Gubitsch, Scottish traditional music arranged by Crabb, and Australian composer Aaron Wyatt's Under the Canopy, an MCO-commissioned work for chamber strings reflecting on temperate rainforests and southern Australian landscapes. MCO Artistic Director Sophie Rowell leads the ensemble, with Crabb performing his own arrangement of C.P.E. Bach's Harpsichord Concerto in A major alongside Gubitsch's tango-inspired In a tango state of mind.
