Jack's daughter thinks he belongs in a nursing home. But he has other, more interesting ideas. Sprouting Wings elucidates the tenuous ties of blood, greed, acquisition and a person's sense of entitlement in an ageist society which does not value the elderly and threatens to throw Jack into an alien land.
