Austin Symphonic Band: 'Mother's Day at the Capitol' at Texas Capitol

Join us for a melodious Mother's Day! The Austin Symphonic Band serenades the South Steps with an electrifying lineup that celebrates the full sweep of band classics, from patriotic power to lyrical warmth to highenergy showstoppers. These include Denza’s vibrant “Funiculi, Funicula,” the Spanish flair of Padilla’s “El Relicario,” the rhythmic joy of Ticheli’s “Sun Dance” and many others. What band concert would be complete without a march, and this one includes Sousa’s mischievous “The Charlatan.” This is the perfect way to show appreciation for Mom on her special day – all wrapped up in the gift of music and the grandeur of Mother’s Day at the Capitol.
