Rialto Film Series Presents: School of Rock at Rialto Center for the Arts

Find out why it’s a long way to the top (if you want to rock’n’roll) with the 2003 classroom comedy “School of Rock” on the big screen. Kicked out of his band and desperate for work, Dewey Finn (Jack Black) impersonates his way into a substitute teacher gig at a rigid private elementary school where he rationalizes turning his class into a rock band will secure his only path for a future in music. Directed by Richard Linklater and costarring Mike White, Joan Cusack, Sarah Silverman and Miranda Cosgrove, “School of Rock” leaves audiences strumming air guitars and singing along, presented with the Rialto’s recently upgraded digital projector, screen and sound system.
