Gainesville Theatre Alliance presents Pippin, Feb 11-22 at Brenau Universitys Hosch Theatre. With an infectiously unforgettable score from four-time Grammy winner, three-time Oscar winner and musical theatre giant, Stephen Schwartz, Pippin is the story of one mans journey to be extraordinary. Heir to the Frankish throne, the young prince Pippin is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. A traveling troupe, led by the charismatic Leading Player, guides Pippin through the adventures of war, sex, politics, and love. Full of dance, passion, and iconic music, Pippin reveals that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors, but in the ordinary moments that happen every day. A Magical Tale Of Lust And Legacy Is Unveiled In Gainesville Theatre Alliance's PIPPIN

As told by a traveling troupe of actors led by the cunning and charming Leading Player, Pippin is the story of a young prince, heir to the throne, who returns from university certain that he will find a fulfilling purpose in life. He dabbles in bloody battle, licentious and lusty entanglements, and savvy political maneuvers, only to discover that true happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors, but in the ordinary moments that happen every day. As part of their February Festival, Gainesville Theatre Alliance will present Pippin Feb 11-22 at Brenau University's Hosch Theatre.
