Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton's only professional theatre company, is continuing its unique partnership with the Chattahoochee Nature Center (CNC) again this summer with a remount of the wildly popular GET concert production of Almost Heaven, John Denver's America outdoors at the CNC. Performances will run Thursdays through Saturdays from July 14-30, 2016 at the Chattahoochee Nature Center's Ben Brady Pavilion, 9135 Willeo Rd., Roswell, GA 30075.

Almost Heaven, John Denver's America debuted at the Georgia Ensemble Theatre in the Fall of 2013, and at that time proved to be the best selling season opener in the Theatre's history. The production was brought back in a concert format last summer in a special partnership with the Chattahoochee Nature Center for a highly successful run outdoors along the beauty of the Chattahoochee River. Under the direction of GET Artistic Director Robert J. Farley, and featuring a cast of extraordinarily talented actor/musicians, the musical celebrates the work of America's beloved open-hearted troubadour, John Denver. His songs make up much of the soundscape of the 60s and 70s, with their honesty, passion, and love of nature and mankind. Featured songs include "Rocky Mountain High," "Sunshine on My Shoulders," "Annie's Song," "Leaving on a Jet Plane," and many more.

Now back by popular demand this summer, Georgia Ensemble Theatre is once again partnering with the Chattahoochee Nature Center for this concert version of the popular show in the beautiful outdoor venue which perfectly celebrates Denver's love of all things nature. In addition to the show, audience members will have the opportunity to enjoy all of the amenities of the Nature Center and bring a picnic to dine on site. There will also be a cash bar available before and during the show. Patrons may reserve seating either at a table under the Pavilion, or enjoy lawn seating under the stars. The Center will open at 6:30pm on performance nights for ticketed patrons to enjoy the exhibits and grounds, with show time starting at 8:00pm.

Artistic Director Bob Farley said, "Due to so many requests and unprecedented popular demand, Georgia Ensemble Theatre is proud to bring this show back for the third time in as many years this July. There will be some friendly faces in the cast returning in concert to bring the audience their special signature to an almost endless array of John Denver's hits. We also welcome a newcomer to our cast. Molly Coyne will join us this summer following her triumphant performances as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady and in Peter and the Starcatcher. Topping off a great summer evening of music under the stars, we have the added enticement of enjoying all the beauty that our great partners at the Chattahoochee Nature Center have to offer."

Chris Nelson, Executive Director of the Chattahoochee Nature Center adds, "We are looking forward to partnering with the Georgia Ensemble Theatre again. Both of our organizations engaged new audiences by collaborating in this venture and bringing this wonderful musical to Roswell. Holding the production here on the banks of the Chattahoochee River added nature's atmosphere to the show. As we celebrate our 40th Anniversary, we are pleased to include this cultural event with our year-long celebration."

Tickets are $15 per person for lawn seating, and $30 for reserved table seating under the Pavilion. Seating is limited, so advance reservations are strongly encouraged. Tickets are on sale now at www.get.org or by calling the Theatre at 770-641-1260.

Almost Heaven, John Denver's America is sponsored by the Malon D. Mimms Company. Additional sponsorships are still available. Interested potential sponsors should contact Michael Van Osch at 770-641-1260 x234.

The Cast: Almost Heaven, John Denver's America features the amazing ensemble of Dolph Amick, Christopher Damiano, Scott DePoy, and Jeremy Wood plus the addition of another GET favorite Molly Coyne (My Fair Lady). Artistic Director Robert Farley is director of the production.
