Wordless Music to present the Score of Paul Thomas Anderson's PHANTOM THREAD In L.A. and NYC

= Wordless Music presents the U.S. premiere live score in New York (Saturday, February 24) and Los Angeles (Friday, March 2) of Paul Thomas Anderson's PHANTOM THREAD, nominated for six Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (Daniel Day-Lewis), and Best Original Score, by Jonny Greenwood. In both cities, Wordless Music Orchestra will team up with principals from London Contemporary Orchestra, who recorded the original score for Nonesuch. Together, the orchestra will perform the entirety of Greenwood's score, which itself is heard in more than 70% of the film, along with selections from Brahms, Schubert, Fauré, and Debussy. This event marks the third collaboration between Anderson and Wordless Music, following live score premieres for THERE WILL BE BLOOD and PUNCH-DRUNK LOVE.

Tickets for PHANTOM THREAD in L.A. go on sale to the general public at 12pm PST on Friday, January 26. Tickets for the BAM performance go on sale to the general public at 10am EST on Monday, January 29.

Now on sale: Birkin/Gainsbourg with Rufus Wainwright at Carnegie Hall
On Thursday, February 1, Wordless Music Orchestra performs at Carnegie Hall with the legendary actress, singer-songwriter, and fashion icon Jane Birkin, for Birkin/Gainsbourg: The Symphonic, in versions of classic Serge Gainsbourg songs ranging from the beginnings of his career in the 1950s to those written especially for Birkin such as "Jane B" and "Baby Alone in Babylone," penned after the famed couple's separation. This concert will also feature a special appearance by Rufus Wainwright. Tickets now on sale here.

Rescheduled: GAS (Wolfgang Voigt) live in March
On Tuesday, March 20, Wordless Music presents the long-awaited return of GAS: the foundational ambient techno project of producer and Kompakt founder Wolfgang Voigt. In honor of the GAS project's 20th anniversary, and the release of his first album (Narkopop) in 17 years, Voigt will perform a tiny number of shows for the first time in the U.S. since 2009. This event will take place at the gorgeous new and independent PopGun-hosted venue in Bushwick, Elsewhere. This show will definitely sell out: tickets are still on sale.
