Now in its 21st year, the Collection features artwork by people from across the country, who are living with muscular dystrophy and related muscle diseases.

The exhibit can be viewed Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Western National Parks Association Store, located at 12880 N. Vistoso Village Drive, in Oro Valley, Ariz. For additional information, call (520) 622-6014.

The exhibit includes works in oil, watercolor, acrylics, mixed media, photographs and digital creations.

The MDA Art Collection was established in 1992 and showcases nearly 400 works by individuals from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, and ranging in age from 2 to 84. The Collection highlights the creativity and achievements of artists young and old, emphasizing that physical disability is no barrier to creativity.

"The caliber of the work included in the Collection is quite impressive. The images are dynamic and the artists' stories are compelling. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to share the Collection with the community," said LouAnne Snyder, the store manager and art coordinator.
