WICKED to Continue 10th Anniversary Celebration with Three TV Appearances Next Week

The blockbuster musical, WICKED, will continue to celebrate its 10th Anniversary on Broadway with three national television appearances airing the week of October 28th.

On Monday, October 28th, JEOPARDY! will feature WICKED in a special category comprised entirely of video clues delivered by Broadway cast members filmed onstage at the Gershwin Theatre. This is the first time that JEOPARDY! has ever devoted an entire category to a Broadway show with members of the cast delivering all of the clues.

On Wednesday, October 30th, the official 10th Anniversary of WICKED, the current Broadway company, led by Lindsay Mendez as Elphaba and Alli Mauzey as Glinda, will appear on THE TODAY SHOW, performing "The Wizard and I" and "What Is This Feeling?" live on Rockefeller Plaza.

On Thursday, October 31st, Ms. Mendez and Ms. Mauzey will perform the song, "For Good," on THE Katie Couric SHOW in celebration of both WICKED's 10th Anniversary and Halloween. Check local listings for all show times.

Broadway's #1 show for an unprecedented nine consecutive years, WICKED has been declared "A Cultural Phenomenon" by Varietyand "The Best Musical of the Decade" by Entertainment Weekly. The musical is currently represented in North America with two concurrent national tours as well as the open-ended Broadway production. In its 10-year history, the musical has also enjoyed extended, record-breaking sit-down engagements in Chicago, where it ran for 3 ½ years; Los Angeles, where it ran for 2 years; and San Francisco, where it ran for 1 ½ years. Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, WICKED has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, and a book by Winnie Holzman. The production is directed by Joe Mantello with musical staging by Wayne Cilento. WICKED is produced by Marc Platt, Universal Pictures, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt and David Stone.

On Broadway, WICKED currently stars Lindsay Mendez as Elphaba, Alli Mauzey as Glinda, Carol Kane as Madame Morrible,Tom McGowan as The Wizard, Derek Klena as Fiyero, Catherine Charlebois as Nessarose, John Schiappa as Dr. Dillamond, and Michael Wartella as Boq.
