VIDEO: SCHOOL OF ROCK's Alex Brightman, Gavin Kim Get Pumped Up For a Performance

As the hyper-active accidental teacher Dewey Finn in Andrew Lloyd Webber, Glenn Slater and Julian Fellowes' hit musical comedy SCHOOL OF ROCK, it's Alex Brightman's task to pump up a classroom full of well-behaved kids into a rebellious rock band.

So naturally, the Tony-nominated star makes sure that he's pumped up himself before every performance. Here he is with swing Gavin Kim getting psyched to rock the Winter Garden.

School of Rock - The Musical opened to rave reviews on Sunday, December 6, 2015. The production was nominated for four 2016 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score (Lloyd Webber and Slater), Best Book (Fellowes), and Best Leading Actor in a Musical (Alex Brightman).

Based on the hit film, School of Rock - The Musical is a hilarious new musical that follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. While teaching these pint-sized prodigies what it means to truly rock, Dewey falls for the school's beautiful, but uptight headmistress, helping her rediscover the wild child within.
