Kate Burton, who will star in the Roundabout Theatre's production of The Constant Wife, will present the Regional Theatre Tony Award to Minneapolis' Theatre de la Jeune Lune at the Tony Award ceremony on Sunday, June 5th at 8:00 – 11:00 PM, which will air on CBS during that time slot.

W. Somerset Maugham's The Constant Wife, directed by Mark Brokaw, will open at the American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd Street) on June 16th after beginning previews on Friday, May 27th.   The production will play a limited engagement through August 14th.

The Constant Wife is a social comedy of marital maneuvers in 1920s upper-class London.  Constance Middleton discovers that her husband is having an affair with her best friend. Rather than humiliating herself and others, she denies the affair, defends the two, and sets about turning bad luck, unfaithful friends, local gossip and a broken heart to her own advantage. Burton portrays the cunning Constance Middleton, while Michael Cumpsty is John Middleton, John Dosset  plays Bernard Kersal and Lynn Redgrave is Mrs. Culver.

The Tonys are presented by the League of American Theatres and Producers and the American Theatre Wing.   Hugh Jackman will host the ceremony, while Alan Alda, Joan Allen, Christina Applegate, Angela Bassett, Matthew Broderick, Mario Cantone, Don Cheadle, Marcia Cross, Jon Cryer, Laurence Fishburne, Jeff Goldblum, Ann Hathaway, Dennis Haysbert, Ethan Hawke, Allison Janney, James Earl Jones, Nathan Lane, Laura Linney, Jesse Martin, Idina Menzel, Esai Morales, Megan Mullally, Bernadette Peters, David Hyde Pierce, Sandra Oh, Doris Roberts, Emmy Rossum, Keri Russell, Liev Schreiber, Tony Shaloub, Julia Stiles, Kathleen Turner and Leslie Uggams are among the presenters.

The Constant Wife will play Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8:00PM with a Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday matinee at 2:00PM.  Tickets, which range from $46.25 to $86.25, are available by calling Roundabout Ticket Services at (212) 719-1300, visiting online at www.roundabouttheatre.org, or at the box office of the American Airlines Theatre.
