A one-night only concert reading presentation of the parody Twilight: The Musical was presented by Ulmer Theatricals, Moxyrah Productions, and Dreamcatcher Entertainment, January 16th, 2012. The concert featured Colin Hanlon and Jared Zirilli who will played Edward and Jacob respectively, while Meghann Fahy led the reading as Bella. Also starring were: Jenna Leigh Green, Jason Michael Snow, Olli Haaskivi, Eddie Gutierrez, Lauren Lopez, Lindsay Dunn, Michael McArthur, Kaitlin Mesh, and Clifton Samuels. ONCE, the new musical based on the 2007 Academy Award-winning film, will play Broadway's Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre this spring. Previews will begin Tuesday, February 28, 2012 with opening night set for Sunday, March 18, 2012. The cast of the show went into the studio on January 17, to record the cast album, which will be released by Masterworks Broadway in March 2012. Broadway's celebrated revival of John Kander, Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse's Tony Award-winning musical CHICAGO just welcomed Latin-American star Marco Zunino in his first Broadway appearance as "that silver-tongued prince of the courtroom," Billy Flynn. A native of Lima, Peru, Marco Zunino began his acting career at the age of 14, having appeared in several Latin American soap operas and television miniseries. Later, he moved to America to study at New York City's renowned Circle in the Square Theatre School. Click here for more photos from his debut!

A long-standing opening night tradition on the Great White Way, the fabled Gypsy Robe is bestowed upon a veteran Broadway chorus member for each opening production. In what has now become a theatrical ritual, originating on Broadway 60 years ago, the latest recipient was THE GERSHWINS' PORGY AND BESS cast member J.D. The final season of The Bridge Project featuring Kevin Spacey, Artistic Director of The Old Vic, in the title role of Richard III, opened at The Old Vic in London on June 29, 2011 and began performances at BAM on January 10, 2012. The show officially opened on January 18, 2012. The Bridge Project is directed by Academy Award-winner Sam Mendes with whom Kevin Spacey worked on the award-winning film American Beauty. Roundabout Theatre Company opened Athol Fugard's THE ROAD TO MECCA this week, featuring Tony Award® winner RoseMary Harris as "Miss Helen," Carla Gugino as "Elsa Barlow" and Tony Award® winner Jim Dale as "Marius Byleveld," and directed by Gordon Edelstein. Set in the region of South Africa known as the Karoo, The Road to Mecca tells the story of an elderly woman who has spent the years since her husband's death transforming her home into an intricate and dazzling work of art. Michael Ball, Imelda Staunton

Following sell-out success at Chichester Festival Theatre, Jonathan Kent's acclaimed production of Sweeney Todd transfers to London's West End for a limited season from 10 March 2012. Widely acknowledged as Stephen Sondheim's musical masterpiece, Sweeney Todd stars distinguished musical performer Michael Ball as the eponymous demon barber of Fleet Street and Oscar-nominated actress Imelda Staunton as the devoted Mrs Lovett. Last night, Ghost the Musical hosted The Ghost Light Sessions Live, a special sneak peek presentation at the historic Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. In an unprecedented presentation for a Broadway musical, Facebook users will have exclusive access to screenings of this very special event on Tuesday, January 24th. The Ghost Light Sessions will provide an exciting opportunity for fans to get a first look at performances from the show as well as hear from the cast and creative team about bringing this highly anticipated new musical to Broadway.
