Welcome to THE FRIDAY SIX: Q&As with your favorite Broadway stars. Want to know what hooked them to a career in the theater? Their dream roles? Their Broadway crushes? Read on!

In this week's edition, we caught up with Lucy Simon, composer of Doctor Zhivago, currently playing at the Broadway Theatre.

What is the first Broadway show you ever saw?

Carousel at the St. James Theater. I was struck with awe at the opening of The Secret Garden that we were in the same theater where I fell in love with musical theater.

What is your most unique pre-show ritual?

Sipping a Bloody Mary at Gallagher's. Sorry for not being more unique!

What is your most memorable "the show must go on" moment?

Years ago when my sister Carly and I were starting out as folk singers, we were booked into The Potting Shed in Lenox, Massachusetts. We walked on stage to the announcement of "and now... the angelic voices of the Simon sisters". Seated at the front table of the room was Odetta -- Carly's utmost idol. Carly fainted, and I had to do the gig with only one angelic voice.

Is there one role you want to write / compose before you die?

I would love to write the score for 'Field of Dreams.'

Who is your Broadway crush?

Tam Mutu

Where can people 'stalk' you online?

You should definitely follow our show @zhivagomusical.
