Renowned Warner Bros. Records recording artist LP, whose song "Into The Wild" has captured the hearts of fans and critics around the world, has just completed her first video clip in a series of live solo performances that feature her covering some of her favorite songs. These video clips feature just LP and her ukulele playing songs filmed at various locations in a completely raw setting. The first of her "Ukulele Sessions" features "Where Did You Sleep Last Night," also known as "In The Pines," a track by American folk blues pioneer Lead Belly, which has been recorded under different titles by numerous artists since the 1940's. Check out the video!

The origin of the song dates back to the 1870's but was most recently brought to life for a new generation of fans when Nirvana performed the song live on MTV Unplugged in 1993. Expect LP's second installation of her "Ukulele Sessions," directed by Claire Vogel soon.

In between touring and recording, LP has been very busy continuing to author songs for other artists. The recently released new solo album from Eagles-member Joe Walsh, Analog Man (Fantasy Records) features a song co-written by LP titled "Hi-Roller Baby."

LP will also perform live with her band this summer on a pair of high profile festivals. Dates include: Saturday, Aug 4 in Chicago, Ill., at Lollapalooza in Grant Park, and Friday, Oct 12 in Austin, Texas at Austin City Limits Fest in Zilker Park. Other dates TBA soon.
