With wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Robert Lopez has written Finding Nemo The Musical and songs for Winnie the Pooh (Disney feature animation, 2011).

Today BroadwayWorld has confirmed that the pair are continuing work on another collaboration - UP HERE, an original musical.

The show, billed as a romantic comedy, was workshopped last year; it aims for a few more developmental steps prior to an out-of-town tryout. Alex Timbers (BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON, PETER AND THE STARCATCHER) is set to direct.

As Anderson-Lopez tells BroadwayWorld.com, audiences can expect something different: "It's super fun - really musically eclectic and theatrical."

Robert Lopez's first two Broadway musicals, Avenue Q and The Book of Mormon, are both critical and commercial smash hits and Best Musical Tony Award winners. He shared Tony Awards for Best Original Score and Best Book for The Book of Mormon. He also shared a Tony for Best Original Score and a Grammy nomination for Avenue Q, which he co-wrote and conceived.

THE BOOK OF MORMON is the winner of nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score (Trey Parker, Robert Lopez, Matt Stone), Best Book (Trey Parker, Robert Lopez, Matt Stone), Best Direction (Casey Nicholaw, Trey Parker), Best Featured Actress (Nikki M. James), Best Scenic Design (Scott Pask), Best Lighting Design (Brian MacDevitt), Best Sound Design (Brian Ronan) and Best Orchestrations (Larry Hochman, Stephen Oremus); the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Musical; five Drama Desk Awards including Best Musical, Best Music (Trey Parker, Robert Lopez, Matt Stone), Best Lyrics (Trey Parker, Robert Lopez, Matt Stone), Best Director (Casey Nicholaw, Trey Parker) and Best Orchestrations (Larry Hochman, Stephen Oremus); four Outer Critics Circle Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score (Trey Parker, Robert Lopez, Matt Stone), Best Actor in a Musical (Josh Gad) and Best Director (Casey Nicholaw, Trey Parker) and the Drama League Award for Best Musical.
