Photo Coverage: MAMMA MIA: HERE WE GO AGAIN Premieres in the Philippines Manila, Philippines--While tropical cyclone Henry was leaving the country, United International Pictures, via Columbia Pictures, held the Philippine premiere of "Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again" in Makati City last Tuesday, graced by a sizable crowd, some members of the press and MCA Music (Universal Music Philippines) signed artists Sabrina, Elha Nympha, and Noel Comia Jr.

Now showing in cinemas nationwide, "Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again" is Universal Pictures/Comcast Corp.'s prequel-sequel hybrid of the big screen version of "Mamma Mia!," based on the ABBA jukebox musical, which made a whopping $609M a decade ago.

The film reunites ABBA's Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus and the original film's producers Judy Craymer, who also produced the musical, and Gary Goetzman. Ol Parker, who wrote "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel," writes and directs.

In the new film, the audience gets to revisit the fictional Greek island Kalokairi, along with the original cast and new additions: Meryl Streep reprises her role as Donna; Julie Walters, Rosie; Christine Baranski, Tanya; Amanda Seyfried, Sophie; Dominic Cooper, Sky; Pierce Brosnan, Stellan Skarsgård, and Colin Firth, as Sophie's "three dads." New cast members Lily James plays the role of young Donna; Alexa Davies, young Rosie; Jessica Keena Wynn, young Tanya; Jeremy Irvine, Sam; Josh Dylan, Bill, Hugh Skinner, Harry, and Andy Garcia, Fernando, the manager of the Hotel Bella Donna. Cher is a special guest star; she plays Ruby, Donna's mother.

Oozing with talent in both acting and singing, James delivers a splendid performance as the young Donna; while Cher's duet with "The Godfather" alum Andy Garcia is the movie musical's biggest moment, along with Streep's heartwarming song, together with Seyfried.

Streep's Donna died a year ago. To honor her mom, Seyfried's Sophie pulls out all the stops to reopen the Hotel Bella Donna, with the help of Garcia's Fernando, the hotel's manager, Donna's former bandmates Walter's Rosie and Baranski's Tanya, and Brosnan's Sam. Unbeknownst to many, Sophie's marriage with Cooper's Sky is on the rocks, especially when the latter leaves for New York City to explore a career opportunity.

Side by side, the film traverses back to James' young Donna and tracks down how she ended up in Kalokairi and fell in love with the wrong men.

Its soundtrack features 18 songs by the ABBA, including "When I Kissed The Teacher," "I Wonder," "One of Us," "Waterloo," "Why Did it Have to be Me," "I Have a Dream," "Kisses of Fire," "Andante, Andante," "The Name of The Game," "Knowing Me, Knowing Me," "Angel Eyes," "Mamma Mia," "Dancing Queen," "I've Been Waiting For You," "Fernando," "My Love, My Life," "Super Trouper," and "The Day Before You Came."
