Photo Coverage: Lin-Manuel & HAMILTON Team Launch Educational Program for 20,000 Lucky Students!

Today, Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller and Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, The Rockefeller Foundation president Judith Rodin, NYC Department of Education Chancellor Carmen Fariña and Gilder Lehrman executive director Lesley Herrmann announced an educational partnership to provide 20,000 NYC public school students with the opportunity to see Hamilton on Broadway and integrate the show into classroom studies. This educational initiative is made possible through a $1.46 million grant by The Rockefeller Foundation to Gilder Lehrman.

Through this program, which will launch in 2016, students will gain access to a dynamic and contemporary introduction to one of the nation's Founding Fathers and the infancy of our democracy. The Broadway blockbuster will be combined with classroom studies, encouraging further engagement with and appreciation of American history.

Tickets will cost only $10 for the students, who will attend Wednesday matinees at which they will have interaction with members of the cast.
