HAMILTON's author/star Lin-Manuel Miranda has joined the social media platform Periscope and at 4pm today broadcast his first video, live from his Richard Rodgers Theatre dressing room.

Early in the video he announced that Jonathan Groff has been able to rearrange his schedule for the film based on HBO's "Looking" and will be returning to the role of King George for the filming of HAMILTON's original cast. Miranda is very grateful to Rory O'Malley, the current King George, for graciously stepping down. It has not been determined yet what will be done with the film.

All the models on the site are his relatives.

The Chicago cast of HAMILTON will be announced soon. He says that none of the Broadway cast members will be involved but there will definitely be some well-known faces in the cast.

"Hamilton's America," the PBS documentary directed by Alex Horowitz and to be broadcast in October, was filmed during the musical's creation. There is footage of Lin-Manuel Miranda writing "My Shot" as well as a looks at Miranda talking with Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman about writing history musicals and with rapper Nas about writing hip-hop.

The HAMILTON Mixtape will be coming out in November and fans got a quick first listen of "My Shot" with Busta Rhymes.
