Christina Applegate and the cast of Sweet Charity will perform a number from the show on the Tony Awards, which will be held this Sunday, June 5th from 8 to 11 PM at Radio City Music Hall; the ceremony, which is hosted by Hugh Jackman, will also be broadcast on CBS.

Applegate is Tony-nominated for Best Actress in a Musical, and the show also received nods for Best Revival and Best Choreography (Wayne Cilento).

The show is currently running at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, where it opened on May 4th. With music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields and a book by Neil Simon, the bittersweet musical comedy about the vulnerable taxi dancer of the title is directed by Walter Bobbie and features Denis O'Hare, Janine LaManna, Kyra Da Costa and Ernie Sabella in its cast. Sweet Charity is produced by Barry and Fran Weissler with Clear Channel Entertainment.

Applegate will also be one of the presenters at the 2005 Tony
s, along with Alan Alda, Joan Allen, Angela Bassett, Matthew Broderick, Mario Cantone, Don Cheadle, Marcia Cross, Jon Cryer, Laurence Fishburne, Jeff Goldblum, Ann Hathaway, Dennis Haysbert, Ethan Hawke, Allison Janney, James Earl Jones, Nathan Lane, Laura Linney, Jesse Martin, Idina Menzel, Esai Morales, Megan Mullally, Bernadette Peters, David Hyde Pierce, Sandra Oh, Doris Roberts, Emmy Rossum, Keri Russell, Liev Schreiber, Tony Shaloub, Julia Stiles, Kathleen Turner, Leslie Uggams. The casts of Monty Python's Spamalot, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Light in the Piazza, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and La Cage Aux Folles will also perform numbers from their Tony-nominated shows.

The Tony Awards are
presented by the League of American Theatres and Producers and the American Theatre Wing.
