Musicals Tonight! continues its ongoing salute to Broadway and Off-Broadway Standbys and Understudies with its next edition of At This Performance... to be held on Monday, October 20th at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre, 2162 Broadway, (above the Promenade Theatre- Broadway at 76th Street), 3rd Floor at 8 PM. The evening celebrates the popular concert series' 5th Anniversary.
Hosted by series Producing Artistic Director and Casting Director Stephen DeAngelis, the popular series allows performers to showcase their versatility and share anecdotes about their experiences.Performers scheduled to perform on Monday, October 20th are Summer Broyhill (Understudy for the roles of Velma Von Tussel and Female Authority Figure in Hairspray), Janet Dacal (pictured, Understudy for the roles of Nina and Vanessa in In the Heights), Kevin Meaney (Understudy for the roles of Edna Turnblad and Wilbur Turnblad in Hairspray), James Moye (Understudy for the roles of Sydney Carton, Ernest Defarge and Marquis St. Evremonde in A Tale of Two Cities), David Ryan Smith (Standby for the role of Narrator in Passing Strange), Jesse Swenson (Understudy for the roles of Melchior, Otto, Georg and Hanschen in Spring Awakening) and Emma Zaks (Understudy for the role of Dainty June in the Broadway revival of Gypsy),
