The Jeanne Rimsky Theater at Landmark on Main Street is proud to present Klea Blackhurst's acclaimed tribute to Ethel Merman, "Everything the Traffic Will Allow" on Saturday, January 29, 2004 at 8 PM.

Klea Blackhurst is an actress, singer and comedienne, who lives in New York City. Her acclaimed tribute to Ethel Merman, "Everything The Traffic Will Allow, has been charming audiences and critics alike since it's New York debut in March 2001. Among many accolades, the production earned her the first ever Special Achievement Award from Time Out New York magazine as well as the 2002 Manhattan Association of Cabaret and Clubs (MAC) award for Best Female Vocalist. Next Magazine recently called Klea a "cabaret icon" but she does play venues of all shapes and sizes. She recently made her London debut (stage, radio and television!) at the Royal Albert Hall, for example. As part of the BBC Proms, she sang the role of Ado Annie in the special concert version of Oklahoma! celebrating composer Richard Rodgers' centenary. She was subsequently invited back to London in February 2003 to open the first Musical Voices fortnight at the Greenwich Theatre. Recent appearances back in America include, New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC); The Mabel Mercer Foundation's Thirteenth Annual Cabaret Convention in Town Hall; a new show entitled "My Birthday Suite" at The Oak Room in New York's fabled Algonquin Hotel; and the Chicago Humanities Festival tribute to birthday boy Richard Rodgers, "It Might As Well Be Swing."

The Performance is sponsored by Dot & Ed Slade and Joseph Deblinger.  Tickets for the show are: $35 Premium Seats and $30 Standard Seats and can be obtained by calling the box office at 516-767-6444 or emailing boxoffice@landmarkonmainstreet.org.
