Kids Week Announces Participating Shows For 2026
BEETLEJUICE THE MUSICAL, THE HUNGER GAMES: ON STAGE, and DISNEY'S THE LION KING are among the participating West End shows.
Over 50 top London shows will take part in Kids Week, Society of London Theatre’s annual audience development initiative, returning in summer 2026. Kids go free to top West End and London shows with an adult paying full price
Plus, an exciting programme of activities will give young theatre fans the chance to discover behind the scenes magic.
Kids Week runs throughout the summer holidays with tickets available to select performances from Monday 20 July to Monday 31 August 2026. Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Tuesday 9 June.
As the longest-running initiative of its kind, Kids Week has enabled more than 2.7 million theatre visits, introducing young people and their families to the magic of live theatre for over 25 years.
This summer, children aged 17 and under can see participating shows for free when accompanied by an adult paying full price. Each adult paying full price can also purchase up to two additional children’s tickets at half price - all with no booking fees.
From productions participating for the first time like Beetlejuice The Musical, The Cat In The Hat, The Comedy About Spies, The Enormous Crocodile, The Hunger Games: On Stage, The Producers, and Sinatra The Musical, to established Kids Week favourites including Alice In Wonderland, Bluey’s Big Play, Disney’s The Lion King, The Gruffalo, Harry Potter And The Cursed Child, Horrible Histories, Matilda The Musical, The Play That Goes Wrong, Six, The Tiger Who Came To Tea, Wicked, and Zog, there is something for all the family to enjoy.
Alongside the shows, Kids Week also offers an exciting programme of activities, giving young theatre fans the chance to go behind the scenes and discover how the magic of theatre is made. These include ‘Kids Week Curtain Calls’ where all Kids Week bookers in attendance can stay for a post-show Q&A or demonstration after the show, as well as workshops on an array of theatrical skills, from dancing, singing and acting, to science, magical illusions, game creation and puppetry!
Emma D’Souza, Kids Week founder and Executive Director (Audiences & Commercial) at Society of London Theatre & UK Theatre, said,“Returning for another year, Kids Week is the longest-running audience development initiative of its kind. Programmes like Kids Week play a vital role in the future success of the theatre industry, helping to spark lifelong passions through early access to the arts.
“Over the years, Kids Week has enabled more than 2.7 million theatre visits, helping families experience the magic of live theatre together and making it more accessible and affordable for those who might otherwise be unable to attend. Having founded the initiative in 1998, I’m incredibly proud that Kids Week is now inspiring a second generation of theatre fans, with many who attended as children in the earlier years now returning to share the experience with their own children.”
Lovingly known as ‘the longest week in summer’, Kids Week now runs throughout the school holidays. This year, the campaign will include selected performances from 20 July to 31 August.
