GLEE casting rumors have been abundant as the hit FOX show prepares for its second season. New buzz suggests that pop superstar Justin Timberlake may be guest starring as Will Shuester's younger brother.

"There is more than a little resemblance between Justin and Matthew Morrison who plays Mr Schuester, so the plan to bring Justin in for a cameo as his younger brother is a very popular idea. They are just trying to work it all out at the moment," a source told Absolute Now.

Stage and screen favorite Lea Michele shared her support of Timberlake this week on Regis and Kelly. Michele named Timberlake her dream guest star, stating "I always felt that Justin Timberlake would be good."

"The cast members are very excited about the prospect of working with him - especially Lea Michele, so it has everybody's seal of approval. They just need to work it all out now. The idea is that he will be a substitute teacher and join the glee club for a week," reports dose.ca.

The U.K. Mirror recently reported that Leona Lewis has landed a guest spot on GLEE next season.  GLEE's Matthew Morrison, Chris Colfer, Amber Riley and Kevin McHale, among others, are currently in London promoting the show. In an article reporting on the chaos surrounding the Gleeks, with fans and British notables, such as Lilly Allen, alike being denied entrance into their nightspot, The Mirror reveals: "Poor Lily Allen was ignored outside The Ivy as the photographers battled to get snaps of the Glee cast, including Matthew Morrison, Chris Colfer and Kevin McHale...The only Brit who seemed to have any reason to be gleeful was Leona Lewis, who has landed a cameo role in the next series.

Lewis rose to fame in 2006 as the winner of the third series of the British television series The X Factor. Lewis has become a multi-platinum selling artist and three time Grammy Award nomineE. Lewis has released two albums to date, Spirit and Echo, in 2007 and 2009 respectively. Spirit became the fastest-selling debut album and the biggest seller of 2007 in both the United Kingdom and Ireland, and made Lewis the first British solo artist to top the Billboard 200 with a debut album. It has sold over 6.5 million copies worldwide.

Lewis's debut single "A Moment Like This" became the fastest selling UK single after being downloaded over 50,000 times within thirty minutes of its release. Her second single, "Bleeding Love", reached number one positions in over thirty singles charts around the world. In November 2008 she set a record in the UK for the fastest selling download-only release with her cover version of the Snow Patrol song "Run" which sold 69,244 copies in two days. Lewis's debut tour, The Labyrinth, started in 2010.

In other GLEE news, as BroadwayWorld reported yesterday, Taye Diggs may be in talks for an appearance next season, Jonathan Groff is likely returning, and the band, Coldplay has finally surrendered their catalog to the FOX hit series.

GLEE follows an optimistic teacher, WILL SCHUESTER (Matthew Morrison), who - against all odds and malicious cheerleading coach SUE SYLVESTER (Jane Lynch) - inspires McKinley High's Glee Club to conquer the world one singing competition at a time. The group of aspiring stars includes RACHEL (Lea Michele), a pint-size diva with powerhouse pipes; FINN (Cory Monteith), the gullible quarterback with rock-and-roll blood; KURT (Chris Colfer), the fashionable soprano with a heart of gold; diva extraordinaire MERCEDES (Amber Riley); geeky guitarist ARTIE (Kevin McHale); TINA (Jenna Ushkowitz), the punk rocker with a sweet side; pregnant cheerleader QUINN (Dianna Agron); and the arrogant PUCK (Mark Salling). Will is determined to make the glee club great again with the help of his colleague and love interest EMMA PILLSBURY (Jayma Mays).

In its premiere season, GLEE has featured guest appearances by a wide range of talented performers. In addition to Groff, the show included Kristen Chenoweth, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, Molly Shannon, Neil Patrick Harris, Mike O'Malley and Olivia Newton-John.

GLEE is produced by Ryan Murphy Television in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan are co-creators of the series. Murphy, Falchuk and Dante di Loreto serve as executive producers, while Ian Brennan serves as co-executive producer.
