Jordin Sparks Launches New Fragrance 'Because of You'

IN THE HEIGHTS star Jordin Sparks is set to launch her debut fragrance this month. It will be called "Because of You."

The 2007 American Idol winner explained to WWD: "When I was starting this project, I really wanted it to be affordable. I looked at some other celebrity fragrances, and they were like $80. Even now, I look at a fragrance that's $80, and I can't bring myself to spend that much. In this economy especially, my fans deserve a high-quality, reasonably priced scent."

Sparks also tweeted about the launch stating: "Im really excited 4 my perfume! Ive always loved fragrances & next week it will be out 4 everyone to try! YAY! All #becauseofyou guys. And the perfume is called #becauseofyou, because you guys mean the world to me! :). (sic)"

According to Contactmusic.com, the perfume will have an introductory price of $9.50 before rising to $14.95 in Target shops.

Tickets for In The Heights range from $41.50 to $121.50, and can be purchased at the Richard Rodgers Box Office or at www.ticketmaster.com. The playing schedule for In The Heights is as follows: Tuesdays and Sundays at 7pm, Monday, Wednesdays - Saturdays at 8pm, with matinees Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm.
