The 2008 Tony and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical In The Heights welcomed platinum recording artist and 2007 'American Idol' winner Jordin Sparks on August 19th, making her Broadway debut as Nina Rosario at Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street). Sparks will play a limited 12 week engagement through Sunday, November 14, 2010. Last night, September 13, Jordin Sparks, 'American Idol' winner and current star of the Tony and Grammy Award winning musical IN THE HEIGHTS, visited the nationally syndicated 'The Wendy Williams Show.' On September 5, 2010, IN THE HEIGHTS creator Lin-Manuel Miranda wed his long-time girlfriend, Vanessa, in an intimate celebration amongst family and friends. For the evening's surprise tribute to the bride, Manuel recruited his family, his new in-laws, the bridesmaids and groomsmen, and some old HEIGHTS buddies to perform To Life (L'Chaim) from FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. Chris Jackson, who recently left the company of In the Heights after playing leading man Benny since 2002, was presented by his castmates with a truly inspirational tribute video. Receivng the help of Rascal Media, which also made IN THE HEIGHTS:CHASING BROADWAY DREAMS, Chris left the cast with this touching sendoff.

Jordin Sparks is set to make her Broadway debut in 'In The Heights' next week in NYC and Cambio got exclusive access to her rehearsals.
