To celebrate the re-release of the cd, Caruso Live And In Person (LML Music), singer/comedian/Cast Party host Jim Caruso and pianist/musical director Billy Stritch will be performing at the Lincoln Center Tower Records "Any Wednesday" concert series on Wednesday, November 30 at 6pm.

The cd, a live recording of Caruso's MAC and Bistro Award-winning cabaret run at Arci's Place, was released five years ago, and within two weeks, went to number one on both the album and singles charts at Outvoice.com. It also won the 2002 MAC Award for Recording of the Year. Now in it's third printing, the cd continues selling briskly in retail, online and concert venues. The recording features Caruso on vocals and conversation, and jazz/cabaret star Billy Stritch on piano and occasional vocals. In the liner notes, the late Tony Award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb wrote, "How do I love Caruso? Let me count the ways…" and goes on to list, "He is better looking that Don Rickles…also Alfalfa," and "He brings back fondly remembered days of cabaret and is terrific."

Jim Caruso recently co-starred with Kathie Lee Gifford and Mario Cantone on Showtime Television's "Personal Assistant," which was written and directed by Charles Busch. Jim also co-starred on the Nostalgia Network variety sit-com, "Café DuArt" for two seasons. As a singer, Jim has won four MAC Awards and two BackStage Magazine Bistro Awards for his sold-out New York runs at Arci's Place, The Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel, The Russian Tea Room, Caroline's Comedy Club and Birdland. He has also performed in runs at the Cinegrill and Gardenia in Los Angeles, The Vic Theater and Davenport's in Chicago, Libby's in Atlanta, the Colony Palm Beach Hotel in Florida and the Connaught Room in London. Caruso guest-hosted "Broadway On Broadway 2000" in Times Square for a crowd of 100,000 theater fans, hosted the 2000 MAC Awards at Town Hall in Manhattan and has co-hosted the Drama Desk Award webcasts for the past three years. At Carnegie Hall, he has been featured in a Tribute to Bing Crosby hosted by Rosemary Clooney, in a Tribute to Kander & Ebb with the New York Pops starring Liza Minnelli, and most recently in a Tribute to Hope & Crosby starring Michael Feinstein. For the past three years, Jim has hosted a weekly Monday night showbiz bash called Jim Caruso's Cast Party, which was honored with a New York Nightlife Award.
