Yahoo! Broadway journeys with the cast and creative team of In The Heights, the new critically acclaimed musical, as they travel from Off-Broadway to Broadway.  A six part exclusive series has begun on Broadway.Yahoo.Com with a new episode airing each Friday. The series follows the cast to their opening night on Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46 Street), on Sunday, March 9, 2008. 

Currently live are Episode 1: "On To Broadway" which gives an insider look at the excitement of the cast preparing to move the show to Broadway. Episode 2: "The Stage to the Street" follows the cast to the streets of Washington Heights as they rehearse and shoot the TV commercial for the Broadway engagement.  This Friday, Episode 3 will air "It Starts Today," which brings you up close and personal with the cast on their first day of rehearsal for the Broadway engagement.  To join the cast on their journey, visit http://broadway.yahoo.com now through March.

With music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, book by Quiara Alegría Hudes and conceived by Lin-Manuel Miranda, In The Heights is directed by Thomas Kail and choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler.  Alex Lacamoire is music director and music arrangements are by Alex Lacamoire and Bill Sherman.  In The Heights features a scenic design by Anna Louizos, costumes by Paul Tazewell, lighting by Howell Binkley and sound by Acme Sound Partners.

"In The Heights is a quintessential New York musical about a vibrant and tight-knit community at the top of the island of Manhattan. The music pulses with the hopes and dreams of three generations as they struggle to forge an identity in a neighborhood on the brink of transition," describe press notes.

In The Heights star Andréa Burns, Janet Dacal, Robin De Jesús, Carlos Gomez, Mandy Gonzalez, Christopher Jackson, Priscilla Lopez, Olga Merediz, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Karen Olivo and Seth Stewart leading a cast of 27 that features Tony Chiroldes, Rosie Lani Fiedelman, Joshua Henry, Afra Hines, Nina LaFarga, Doreen Montalvo, Javier Muñoz, Krysta Rodriguez, Eliseo Román, Luis Salgado, Shaun Taylor-Corbett, Rickey Tripp, Michael Balderrama, Blanca Camacho, Rogelio Douglas Jr. and Stephanie Klemons.

Tickets for In The Heights range from $21.50 to $111.50, and can be purchased at the Richard Rodgers Box Office or at www.ticketmaster.com.  The playing schedule for In The Heights is as follows:  Tuesday - Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 7pm, with matinees Saturday and Sunday at 2pm.  Please note there will be added performances Monday March 17 at 8pm, and matinees Wednesday, March 5, March 12, March19, and March 26 all at 2pm.  There will be no performance on Sunday, March 9 at 2pm, Wednesday, March 12 at 8pm, Monday, March 17 at 8pm, Sunday, March 23 at 7pm, and Sunday, March 30 at 7pm.
