Ignite The Night, A Fundraiser For Spark Theatre, Celebrates Lorain County's Artists With A Night Of Entertainment

Improvisational comedy, musical performances, live theatre and more take center stage for Ignite the Night at Elyria Performing Arts Center on February 24th, 2018.

Presented by Hyland Software and Endrizzi's Martial Arts, Ignite the Night is the first annual fundraising event for Lorain County's newest non-profit, Spark Theatre. Spark is launching an education touring production to travel Lorain County schools this May and all proceeds will assist in bringing arts to students in the area.

"It's going to be a great night," says Artistic Director, Rachael Endrizzi. "The arts have been so powerful in shaping many Lorain County residents and I wanted to celebrate and highlight this while also creating a great event. We've been compiling artists from NE Ohio- some who are still local, and others who are working across the globe, to perform, share stories, and tell us what the arts mean to them. Lorain County has produced artists who are on Broadway, touring internationally, working in Hollywood, and so much more. It's really incredible. Plus- we are offering free workshops to kids throughout the day leading up to the event."

The evening includes live performances in a cabaret-style from Something Dada (Northeast Ohio's longest running improvisational comedy troupe), The Illusion Factory, Melissa Lopez, Katie Bates, Nicole Corris, Erin Dolan and other special guest appearances. In addition to these performances, the event includes hors d'oeuvres, lobby entertainment (balloon art and magicians for kids) and many items up for raffle before and during the cabaret.

"The community has been so generous in stepping up and supporting this event," states Board President, Jessica Tighe. "We have so many incredible items up for raffle; everything from Cleveland Indians tickets and brewery packages, to great gift certificates and original artwork. I think there is something for everyone. Plus, it's all for a great cause and in an effort to spread the word about Spark throughout the community."

Ignite the Night will be held at Elyria Performing Arts Center, 600 West Ave., Elyria, OH 44035 on Saturday, February 24th beginning at 6:00pm. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for those 18 & under, and can be purchased online at www.SparkTheatre4Youth.org. Free workshops for children and teens will be held beginning at 4pm that day and more information can be found on the Spark Theatre website or on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/SparkTheatre4Youth. Ignite the Night is generously sponsored by Hyland Software, Endrizzi's Martial Arts, Gayle A. Reeves Co. L.P.A., Hiedelberg Distributors, Vandemark Jewelers and Parallel Vision Post.
