Along with co-stars Lin-Manuel Miranda and Phillipa Soo, Leslie Odom, Jr. will be taking his last bow in the Broadway smash HAMILTON on July 9th. But like the musical's author, Miranda, Odom says he would happily return.

"I would do this part in this show anywhere in the world at anytime. I love this show; I love this part," he tells The Hollywood Reporter.

Odom, whose previous Broadway appearances include RENT and LEAP OF FAITH, won the 2016 Tony Award for Best Actor In a Musical playing the title role's political rival, Aaron Burr, but he'd like his next "room where it happens" to be an intimate New York club where he can croon jazz renditions of standard like "Autumn Leaves," "The Party's Over" and "Look For The Silver Lining," three of the selections on his recently released debut album "Leslie Odom, Jr."

"The record company felt wisely that we should get something out before I left HAMILTON or around awards time, and that deadline was not easy," Odom says. In a previous interview for Billboard, he credits the success of HAMILTON for suddenly generating interesting in his projects that had been stuck in development for years.

When he does book that intimate space to work in, Audience members shouldn't be surprised to hear new arrangements of Lin-Manuel Miranda's soon-to-be standards on his set list.

"I'm in no way running from HAMILTON or its success or these beautiful songs that I've been blessed to be able to be the one to introduce them. I certainly won't be the last to sing them, but to be the first, I feel very lucky. I'm not running from this show or these songs. I look forward to being able to incorporate them into my set. If you're lucky enough to do these shows, you can gather those signature songs that people will come to hear you sing. HAMILTON has given me that for sure."

With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton is based on Ron Chernow's biography of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton.

HAMILTON is the story of America's Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation's first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway, Hamilton is the story of America then, as told by America now.

HAMILTON's creative team previously collaborated on the 2008 Tony Award Winning Best Musical In The Heights.

HAMILTON features scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, hair and wig design by Charles G. LaPointe, and casting by Telsey + Company, Bethany Knox, CSA.

The musical is produced by Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs, Jill Furman and The Public Theater.

The Hamilton Original Broadway Cast Recording is available everywhere nationwide. The Hamilton recording received a 2016 Grammy for Best Musical Theatre Album.
