Free Family Friendly Caribbean Festival Comes to Delray Beach On May 12 The Delray Beach Marketing Cooperative is inviting people to come to Delray Beach for the first annual Frog Alley Caribbean Festival, Saturday, May 12, from 6 to 10 pm. This free, family friendly festival celebrates the arts and culture of the Caribbean.

The event takes place on Atlantic Avenue and SW 5th Avenue at the Libby Wesley Plaza. There will be entertainment from the Caribbean Waves Steel Drum Band and Pan Paradise, all kinds of kid's activities and a Junkanoo parade!

Hosted by Ian Caven, this event features nonstop entertainment on two stages and a variety of family friendly activities, including:

  • Frog Alley Scavenger Hunt
  • Spady Museum Family Tree
  • Kid's Corner -craft activities, outdoor games and face painting
  • Caribbean Artwork and Jewelry
  • Live Painting Ja Fleu
  • Traditional Caribbean food

Entertainment will be happening throughout the evening on two separate stages.

Libby Wesley Plaza Stage

6pm-8pm Caribbean Waves Steel Drum Band

8:15pm-8:30pm Milagro Center Steel Drum Group

8:45pm-10pm Pan Paradise (Reggae band)

Frog Alley Stage

6pm-10pm DJ Barry - Caribbean Dance Party

The Junkanoo parade and performances will be from 7pm to 8pm.

Street Closures

Eastbound Atlantic Avenue will be closed from SW 8th Avenue to SW 4th Avenue and SW 5th Avenue will be closed from Atlantic Avenue to SW 1st St from 3pm until the event is over. Westbound Atlantic Avenue will remain open.

Parking

There are several public parking lots nearby:

SW 4th Avenue between Atlantic and SW 1st St

SW 1st St near east of SW 5th Avenue

NW 5th Avenue across from the Delray Beach Housing Authority
