Farmers Alley Theatre Presents LIBERACE HELD OVER Farmers Alley Theatre is once again honored to collaborate with the Irving S. Gilmore Keyboard Festival to present the Michigan Premiere of this one-of-a-kind story about one of America's most unique icons - LIBERACE! Now HELD OVER DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND THRU MAY 20th at 221 Farmers Alley, we are thrilled to bring in award-winning performer David Maiocco to portray "Mr. Showmanship" himself, the one and only, Liberace.

Written by Brent Hazelton, this moving and highly entertaining tribute to a legendary performer famous for his charm, glitz and glamour, Liberace! relives the highs (and lows) of his prolific life, revealing the real person behind the persona. Interwoven with a rollicking piano score spanning classical and popular music from Chopin to "chopsticks" and Rachmaninoff to ragtime, this tour-de-force will have audiences cheering the life of a uniquely American icon.

"A glorious tribute to the uncanny performer and gifted musician." -Wisconsin Gazette

Farmers Alley Theatre is thrilled to welcome in MAC and Bistro award-winning performer and music director David Maiocco to take on the role of Wladziu Valentino Liberace. His tribute show "Lee Squared: An Evening with Liberace and Peggy Lee" is a Bistro and Theatre Pizazz Award winners on the Cabaret circuit in 2016-17. Mr. Maiocco has been called, "A gifted pianist, he makes that piano sound like the Philharmonic," by Backstage Magazine. Kalamazoo's own award-winning director, Kathy Mulay will be directing this glitzy and fun-filled one-man show with her usual flair and style that accompanies all her productions. (Gypsy, Cabaret, Next to Normal)

LIBERACE! will run through May 20th at 221 Farmers Alley in downtown Kalamazoo. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Farmers Alley Theatre Box Office at (269)343-2727 or by visiting www.farmersalleytheatre.com.
