Gingold Theatrical Group has announced some of the stars who will take part in readings for Project Shaw, which is dedicated to presenting all 50 of Shaw's plays in a concert reading format.

Karen Ziemba, John Glover and Matt Cavanaugh will take part in the series in June, while Tyne Daly and Jonathan Hadary are set for July readings.  Upcoming plays include The Millionairess, Man and Superman, Press Cuttings and Passion, Poison and Petrifaction, Widowers' Houses and Pygmalion.

George Bernard Shaw's Admirable Bashville will next be presented on May 21 at The Players at Gramercy Park, 7PM. The show, produced and directed by David Staller, stars Marc Kudisch, Louis Zorich, Daniel Jenkins, Charlotte Moore, Graham Rowat, Kevin Rennard, George S. Irving, Charlotte Rae, Patricia Conolly, and others.  The New York Post's Michael Riedel will serve as host.

Admirable Bashville, based on Shaw's novel Cashel Byron's Profession, follows world champion boxer Cashel Byron as he tries to court aristocrat Lydia Carew without revealing his true profession. Written as a Shakespeare parody, the show is described as "a riotous Shaw comedy about sex, manners, African chiefs, idealistic maidens, artistic young men, love (kind of), and boxing."

Press notes state, "The Irish born Shaw, who died at age 94 in 1950, is one of the most prolific writers of plays, books and treatises in the English language. His unyielding stand for human rights, particularly for women's rights, has become legendary. He encouraged general political awareness and the need for people to take responsibility for their own lives."

Tickets are $15, and will be available May 1, at www.projectshaw.com or by calling 212-352-3101.
