Carolines and The Second City Partner to Present Inaugural Pop-Up Training Center at 2017 New York Comedy Festival
The New York Comedy Festival (NYCF), presented in association with TBS, today announced the lineup of comedians bringing laughter to New York November 7 - 12 when the festival takes over some of the city's most prestigious venues. Over 200 comedians are set to perform over the six-day festival, including Conan O'Brien, Samantha Bee, Bill Maher, and Nick Offerman.
As part of this year's lineup, The Second City will come to New York for the first time in partnership with Carolines for the inaugural Pop-Up Training Center. The center will include a selection of improvisation, writing, and stand-up workshops. Half-day, full-day, and 4-day workshops will be available for the duration of the festival, along with limited access to Second City's newest creation, the Harold Ramis Film School. The Second City is the world's largest school of improvisation, sketch, stand-up, and comedy writing. Workshops will take place at Ripley Grier Studios, The Public Hotel, and Carolines on Broadway.
