Buck Creek Players Presents The Classic American Play THE RAINMAKER

Buck Creek Players brings hope and beauty to the stage this summer with N. Richard Nash's classic American play, THE RAINMAKER, opening on Friday, August 3rd, and continuing for a limited two-weekend run through Sunday, August 12th. Curtain times are at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with 2:30 p.m. matinees on Sundays.

Set in the hard years of the Depression-era Dustbowl, THE RAINMAKER is a story of recognizing the beauty and potential locked away inside all of us. Saddled to a failing cattle ranch, the only woman in a family of menfolk, Lizzie Curry has just about given up hope of finding love and escape. But when a charming trickster named Starbuck breezes into town promising to bring rain for $100, Lizzie's father gives the man the last of the family's savings, knowing that what he has to offer them, and Lizzie, is more than just rain.

Directed by Tim Spradlin, admission is $18 for adults and $16 for children, students, and senior citizens (ages 62 and up). Reservations are recommended, and may be reserved securely online with no added fees at www.buckcreekplayers.com, or by calling our automated reservation line at 317-862-2270. Group discounts are also available for parties of ten or more when purchased online in a single transaction.
