Bay Street Theater Launches 'Going Solo' Initiative for Solo Theatergoers This Summer
The Sag Harbor venue's 35th anniversary season includes MISTER HALSTON among its offerings
Bay Street Theater has announced Going Solo at Bay Street, a new welcoming audience initiative designed for patrons attending performances on their own during Bay Street's 35th Anniversary Summer Season.
Designed as a curated social gathering before the show, Going Solo invites independent theatergoers to arrive early, enjoy a complimentary glass of Channing Daughters house wine, and join a casual hosted conversation with fellow guests who share a love of live theater. Warm, welcoming, and intentionally intimate, the evening is created to make attending alone feel less like coming solo and more like joining friends for a night out at Bay Street.
The goal of Going Solo is simple: to turn a solo night at the theater into a shared evening of community, conversation, and new friendships.
Guests participating in Going Solo are invited to arrive at 7:00 PM for a hosted pre-show gathering in the Bay Street lobby near the bar. Bay Street staff will welcome attendees, facilitate light conversation among the group, and help create an easy, relaxed atmosphere before the evening's performance begins.
Going Solo at Bay Street will be offered during Friday evening performances throughout the summer season, including Mister Halston on June 5 and 12, Cagney The Musical on July 10 and 17, and Dear Evan Hansen on August 7 and 14.
“A night at the theater should never depend on whether you have someone to come with,” said Tracy Mitchell, Executive Director of Bay Street Theater. “Going Solo is Bay Street's way of creating a warm, social, and memorable evening for anyone coming to the theater on their own.”
Guests ages 21 and over will enjoy the complimentary wine reception as part of the evening.
Guests purchasing tickets for designated Going Solo performances may use promo code SOLO when purchasing online or by phone.
