BWW Audio Exclusive: Preview Track from Joel B. New's CABOT COVE Album, Featuring Lisa Howard!

Dancing corpses. Dead dachshunds. Taciturn teddy bears. Road trips to nowhere. These are just a few of the whimsical premises that make up CABOT COVE, the six-track debut EP by award-winning singer-songwriter Joel B. New.

Half a dozen provocative tunes loosely inspired by everyone's favorite murder mystery writer and her fictional hometown of Cabot Cove, Maine - as can only be shown through the lens of New's waggish lyrics and particular hybrid of piano rock, jazz, pop, cabaret, and art song.

Produced by Lorenzo Wolff, CABOT COVE features a nine-member band with outrageous orchestrations by Scott Wasserman (Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen) and a sublime vocal cameo by Lisa Howard (Drama Desk nominee for It Shoulda Been You, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee).

New dedicates CABOT COVE to everyone with the courage, love, and tenacity to say "yes" to their own ideas, "yes" to the aspirations of their friends, and "yes" to their 10-year-old son who so desperately wanted to go on a theme park ride that starred Dame Angela Lansbury, circa 1992.
