The cast and creative team of Broadway's THE BOOK OF MORMON chatted with Broadway Beat at the opening night after party last week. There, they caught up with one of the show's creators, Robert Lopez, who acts as the co-composer/lyricist/book writer.

On what to expect from the hilarious new musical, Lopez commented: "I think that it's a show about faith. It's about a guy that looses his faith (his naive, childish faith), and through the story regains it in a stronger, more mature way. In the end he's really lifted up into heaven, and that's the audience experience that we're trying for too."

As for the show's co-director/choreographer Casey Nicholaw, he added, "When Casey came into the mix, the energy for the show just jumped - that's the only way to put it. His dancing is just so infectiously energetic and funny." He continued, "Without Casey the show would have still been funny but it would have been more plotty and talky and now its like a party."
