Legendary writer and director Arthur Laurents returns to Theater Talk to discuss directing the revival of West Side Story. This bilingual production which opened recently on Broadway is a rethinking of the musical theater masterpiece for which he wrote the libretto over 50 years ago. Laurents, now aged 91, explains why he decided to reinterpret this work now and talks about his complex relationships with the show's original creative team, Leonard Bernstein, Jerome Robbins, Stephen Sondheim and Hal Prince.

Ted Chapin, President and Executive Director of The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization is joined by librettist and lyricist Michael Korie to discuss the legacy of Oscar Hammerstein. The show includes musical performances of Rodgers & Hammerstein favorites by actors/singers Liz Callaway and Andrew Samonsky.
