Santa Fe Playhouse presents Bear Grease Live, a reimagined version of the classic musical Grease with a Treaty 6 Indigenous twist by the hip-hop duo LightningCloud, featuring Crystle Lightning and Henry Andrade. Directed by Crystle Lightning, this production showcases an all-Indigenous cast, including Bryce Morin as Danny and Melody McArthur as Sandy. The performances will take place on August 17 and 18, 2024, at the Alhambra Theater at the Scottish Rite Temple, highlighting Indigenous humor and cultural pride. The show acknowledges its roots in Treaty 6 Alberta, celebrating the heritage and stories of various Indigenous communities.
