Don Giovanni at Barossa Arts Centre

Michael Gow's production of Mozart's Don Giovanni comes to the Barossa Valley as part of Opera Australia's National Touring program and State Opera South Australia's Golden Jubilee Season. Don Giovanni is a notorious libertine whose seductions, schemes and violent impulses finally catch up with him in this opera blending comedy, thriller, and supernatural reckoning. Conductor Simon Bruckard leads a cast including Christian Haotian Qi and Andrew Williams sharing the title role, Celeste Lazarenko and Jessica Blunt as Donna Anna, Kiran Rajasingam and Stephen Marsh as Leporello, Tomas Dalton and Shanul Sharma as Don Ottavio, and Cathy-Di Zhang and Jane Magão as Zerlina. A local children's chorus from Faith Lutheran College also performs, with set and costume design by Robert Kemp and lighting design by Matthew Scott.
