Sam Troughton Injured During Royal Shakespeare Company's ROMEO & JULIET
According to the NY Times, Sam Troughton, who plays Romeo in the Royal Shakespeare Company's Romeo and Juliet at the Park Avenue Armory, sustained a knee injury during a performance today, July 12. After the audience was led out of the theatre, understudy Dyfan Dwyfor took over. It remains unknown whether Troughton will peform in tonight's benefit.

For the first time in its history of visiting the United States, the Royal Shakespeare Company is performing five of Shakespeare's plays in repertory, for a total of 45 performances this summer. The company is presented by Lincoln Center Festival, and Park Avenue Armory, in association with The Ohio State University.
Lincoln Center Festival is a presentation of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA), which serves three primary roles: presenter of superb artistic programming, national leader in arts and education and community relations, and manager of the Lincoln Center campus. As a presenter of over 400 events annually, LCPA's programs include American Songbook, Great Performers, Lincoln Center Out of Doors, Midsummer Night Swing, the Mostly Mozart Festival, Tully Scope Festival, White Light Festival, and Live From Lincoln Center. In addition, LCPA is leading a series of major capital projects on behalf of the resident organizations across the campus.
