'Indiosyncrasy' Opens the Season for La Tea Theater

In what is shaping up to be one of the best new one-man shows of the season, award-winning actor Indio Melendez is performing Indiosyncrasy at La Tea Theater.

Indiosyncrasy is a courageously thoughtful and entertaining look at the struggles of a Latino man coming to terms with core facets of his identity and his relationships as a husband, father, friend and lover.

The show runs September 17th through 28th 2008 with September 17th-20th @ 8pm, 24th- 27th @ 8pm,
September 21st & 28th @ 5pm, and Special Performances on 22nd, 23rd @ 7pm at:

Indio Melendez is one of the most talented, undiscovered character actors currently working in New York. Indio is currently a member of the HOLA award-winning ensemble of Dona Flor y sus dos maridos at Spanish Repertory Theater.

Indio is a 2007 Premios Sin Limites Award nominee for his One Man Show, Manchild Dilemma which he has toured around the country. He was also nominated for a 2001 Latin Ace Award for best supporting actor as Miguel in "Vieques" at Spanish Repertory. Indio is a Theater Educational Specialist with the Creative Arts Team, CUNY.
