Queen Latifah sang America The Beautiful, followed by Carrie Underwood singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl on February 7th.

Once the hip hop queen, Queen Latifah received an Oscar nomination for playing Mama Morton in the film version of Chicago and additionally appeared as Motormouth Maybelle in the film version of Hairspray.

She has won a Golden Globe Award for her performance in the television movie Life Support. She also won a Grammy Award in 1994; her albums include her debut, All Hail the Queen, The Dana Owens Album and Trav'lin Light. She has additionally recorded numerous tracks with the music industry's elite, including Missy Elliott and many others.
