Wavestage Theatre Company will present LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL. The iconic tale of the girl who just wants to be taken seriously while staying true to herself will run for a limited engagement from July 10-13 at Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts.

Based on the hit movie, LEGALLY BLONDE is a fiercely entertaining evening of musical fun! Elle Woods is a UCLA sweetheart and homecoming queen with both beauty and brains. So when her boyfriend, Warner, dumps her for someone he thinks is more "serious", Elle puts down the shopping bags, hits the books, and heads for Harvard Law School. Along the way, Elle proves that being true to yourself never goes out of style. This high-energy pop musical's fun and catchy score features music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin, and a hysterical book by Heather Hach. The production delivers show-stopping hit after show-stopping hit, such as "Omigod You Guys", "Whipped Into Shape", "Bend & Snap", and more.

LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL will star Rhiannon Kyle as Elle Woods. Rhiannon was last seen as Crissy in Wavestage's July 2013 production of Hair. "Audiences will come expecting a fun, lighted-hearted evening - which they'll definitely get - but I think audiences won't expect how much heart is in this story." says Kyle. The cast also features the incredible talents of Mandy McDonald (Paulette), Chris Vergara (Emmett), Gord Peters (Professor Callahan), Carlo Bianchini (Warner), Traci Alexander (Vivienne), Melissa Lemme (Brooke), Naomi Melvin (Serena), Holly Bryant (Pilar), Lauren Wolanski (Margot), and Olivia Cox (Enid).

The vivacious Delta Nu sorority sisters that will join Elle in her journey of self-discovery include Kyla Whetham, Bianca Bouchard, Jamie Schouten, Catherine Zanon, Rachel Anderson, Emily Powell, Sam Robinson, and Mary Askwith.

The true scene-stealers of this production are, of course, the spectacular canine companions Prince & Sushi, who will both alternate playing the role of Bruiser.

Tickets for adults are $30 and $22 for students/seniors. Legally Blonde will be seen at Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts from July 10-13. Tickets may be purchased online at www.rhcentre.ca, in person at the Box Office or by calling (905)-787-8811. www.wavestagetheatre.com
