ShakesBeer is this summer's funniest live comedy, and this year, the laughs come faster thanks to a new partnership with Toronto's original craft Brewery. The Brewmasters at Amsterdam Brewery will be providing ShakesBeer fans with their finest favourite local beers and small batch Adventure Brews, for the joyous occasion.

Now with a rare "Adventure Brew" in hand, watch Matt Drappel, Jeff Hanson, and Kevin Ritchie star in the hilarious Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Abridged, a renowned comedy where three actors attempt to stage all 37 of Shakespeare's plays in 90 minutes - with hilarious results.

The smash hit comedic celebration of locally crafted theatre and beer returns to Artscape Wychwood Barns (601 Christie St.) for a limited run starting August 3rd.

In the spirit of a modern Elizabeth beer garden, enjoy a Bard's Beer Bucket - with hand curated selections of rare and microbrewed beers, outstanding fare from local pop up chefs, fire eaters, buskers, musicians, and a fun performance.

Under the covered street of Artscape Wychwood Barns, ShakesBeer is a summer night unlike any other in the city.

On sale now, tickets start at $29, and range to $69 for premium seats and are available at shakesbeer.ca, with a discount of 40 percent for all remaining tickets.

In 2013, we had a dream. Well, mostly, we had a pun: ShakesBeer. Since then, we've created productions so interactive and visceral that Mercutio will jump on a patron's table, take a swig of his beer, and convince Romeo to join the party; moments so intimate that an uproarious audience holds its breath to hear Hamlet whisper a soliloquy. This is the irreverent spirit of ShakesBeer. Over ten thousand people have joined us at intimate pop-up theatres for a great night out with local craft beer, comedy, and Bard. We've created an atmosphere of conviviality, community and fun. Oh, and Beer!

Since its founding in 2001, CTP has produced over 100 productions of plays and musicals, toured first class productions across North America, created and developed original works from the ground up, founded a fully-funded elite professional actors' conservatory, and staged major commercial productions including the smash hit Canadian revival of CATS. In the past 10 years, more than 1,000,000 people in over 50 cities across the continent have attended CTP's stage productions.

CTP recognizes that millennials and the new creative classes have a collective interest in being participants, not spectators. This drives us to create interactive and immersive theatrical experiences that go beyond the theatre walls.

Amsterdam Brewery is an independently owned and operated craft brewery that has been deeply rooted in the city of Toronto since 1986. This year the brewery is celebrating 30 years of craft, innovation and independence. In addition to the production facility in Leaside, in 2014 Amsterdam returned to its roots by bringing together beer and food with the Amsterdam BrewHouse on Queen's Quay W on Toronto's waterfront. Combined, Amsterdam's two breweries produce over forty unique beers annually including their flagship lager - Amsterdam Natural Blonde, the award-winning Boneshaker IPA, and multiple year-round and seasonal beers as well as the landmark Adventure Brew series of specialty brews.
