Young People's Theatre concludes its 2016/17 Season with the world premiere of Munschtime! featuring stories of the internationally renowned Canadian author Robert Munsch. The protagonists in all of Munsch's tales learn how their actions affect others, and about their own place in their communities. At the centre of this is A Promise is a Promise, which Munsch co-wrote with Michael Kusagak - a story focused on Indigenous people and based on an Inuit tale. The fact that there are many Indigenous artists engaged in the making of this show (actors, designers and director Herbie Barnes) makes it all the more meaningful. These stories speak to all generations and remind us of the connections we all share with each other. The show opens today and runs to May 14. Check out photos from the show below!

Robert Munsch is one of North America's most beloved and best-selling children's authors. His books are staples of many children's libraries. All together they have sold over 30 million copies, and have been translated into over a dozen languages.

Young People's Theatre will offer two American Sign Language (ASL) Shadow Interpreted Performances of Munschtime! on Sat. April 29 at 2:30PM and Thurs. May 11 at 10:15AM. Relaxed Performances, will be offered on Thurs. May 11 at 1PM and Sun. May 14 at 11AM.
