Porchlight Music Theatre’s first New Faces Sing Broadway concert of 2022, New Faces Sing Broadway 1947 with host Robin DaSilva, directed by Adrian Abel Azevedo, music directed by Linda Madonia and featuring ten new up and coming talents performing songs from the 1947 Broadway season begins streaming Friday, April 8.

Irish Repertory Theatre presents FINIAN'S RAINBOW, directed and adapted by Charlotte Moore (Da), at Irish Rep Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) on the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage. Just last night, Irish Repertory Theatre presented FINIAN'S RAINBOW: IN CONCERT, this season's Gala Benefit production celebrating their return home to 22nd Street. Hosted by Saoirse Ronan, FINIAN'S RAINBOW: IN CONCERT featured performances by members of the Irish Rep cast in their original roles: Melissa Errico as 'Sharon,' Malcolm Gets as 'Og,' David Staller as 'the Narrator,' and Max Von Essen as 'Woody.' They were joined by Tony Award winner Jim Norton as 'Finian,' Megan Fairchild of New York City Ballet as 'Susan the Silent,' and a full chorus.

Bay Area audiences will have the opportunity to experience a lost musical theatre treasure when 42nd Street Moon presents the first ever post-Broadway production of a musical collaboration by the composers of My Fair Lady and Brigadoon, CARMELINA. The show has a beautiful score by Alan Jay Lerner and Burton Lane and a saucy book by Lerner and Joseph Stein, whose Fiddler on the Roof remains one of the world's most popular musicals, but CARMELINA nevertheless vanished from sight. CARMELINA plays October 31 - November 18, 2012 (press openings November 2 and 3) at the Eureka Theatre in San Francisco. Get a first look at the cast in the photos below!

Tony Award-winners Philip Bosco, Jim Norton and Ruben Santiago-Hudson, as well as Cheyenne Jackson, Kate Baldwin, and Jeremy Bobb starred in Finian's Rainbow, the final production of New York City Center's 2008-09 Encores! season, preformances ran from March 26 - 29. Finian's Rainbow has music by Burton Lane, lyrics by E.Y. Harburg and book by E. Y. Harburg and Fred Saidy and will be directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle with music direction by Rob Berman. The musical will play five performances at City Center (West 55th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues).

The Tony Award-winning Manhattan Theatre Club (Peter J. Solomon, Chairman of the Board; Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director; Barry Grove, Executive Producer) dedicated its Broadway theatre the 'Samuel J. Friedman Theatre' on Thursday, September 4. The ceremony began at the theatre (261 West 47th Street at 8th Avenue) . MTC previously announced that it was renaming its Broadway home, until now known as the Biltmore Theatre, the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre in recognition of the pioneering Broadway publicist.

'The Broadway Musicals of 1947,' kicked-off the eighth season of The Town Hall's critically acclaimed Broadway by the Year series on March 3 at Town Hall. The star-studded cast included Howard McGillin, Marc Kudisch, Eddie Korbich, Noah Racey, Donna Lynne Champlin, Meredith Patterson, Kerry O'Malley, Kendrick Jones, Alexander Gemignani, Christiane Noll and Jeffry Denman.
